Make your reservation now to showcase YOUR organization
or services at the 2008 Indiana University Student Involvement Fair
WHAT IS THIS EVENT?
The IU Student Involvement Fair provides a great opportunity to make students aware of organizations
on campus and what your organization does for the community.
This is a time to recruit membership from a population that is new to IU – or starting over
and looking for opportunities to get involved. IUSIF is also a great way to rejuvenate the membership
of your organization. This is a time and place where you can showcase your organization or your services
to people who are interested.
We support organizations, large and small, in recruiting a diverse student population. This is the
only Student Involvement Fair of its size at IU and is sponsored and supported by the Commission
on Multicultural Understanding, the Indiana Memorial Union and Union Board, the Office of Orientation
Programs and the Student Activities Office.
WHEN IS IT?
Tuesday, September 9th from 11am to 2pm. IMU Parking Lot, east end near Woodburn Hall.
WHAT HAPPENS THERE?
You will be provided with a table where you can have a display about your organization. Please plan
to staff the table the entire time of with current members who are able to talk about your organization.
You will want to have attractive displays, interactive activities, and other attention getters to
invite students to wander around and explore groups. Most groups also have signup sheets,
often some giveaways, and other items. Think about what might attract students to YOUR display and,
ultimately, to YOUR organization.
The IU Student Involvement Fair is sponsored by the following offices/organizations:
The Commission on Multicultural Understanding
The Indiana Memorial Union and the Union Board
The Office of Orientation Program
The Student Activities Office
