Guaranteed Admissions Benchmark #1
Students will be eligible for guaranteed transfer admission to the Indiana University Bloomington campus for the 2010 spring semester after meeting the following criteria:
- Complete a minimum of 15 transferable/academic credit hours at Ivy Tech Bloomington in the Fall 2009 semester. (Previous college coursework/credits will not be counted toward the 15 transferable/academic credit hours.)
- Achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0, with no grade lower than a "C."
- Maintain a good disciplinary record at both Indiana University Bloomington and Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington.
Students who meet Benchmark #1 may continue enrollment at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington for Spring 2010. However, they must meet the benchmark #2 standards by the end of the Spring 2010 semester and enroll at Indiana University Bloomington by Fall 2010.
Guaranteed Admissions Benchmark #2
Students who do not meet the above criteria will be offered guaranteed transfer admission to the Indiana University Bloomington campus after meeting the following criteria:
- Complete a minimum of 26 transferable/academic credit hours at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. (Previous college coursework/ credits will be counted toward the 26 hours transferable/academic credit hours.)
- Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5, and achieve no grade lower than a "C" in all coursework of the most current semester of enrollment. (Academic skill-advancement coursework will be included in semester grade review.)
- Maintain a good disciplinary record at both Indiana University Bloomington and Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington.
*PLEASE NOTE: Transferring into the Nursing program, Informatics, or the Allied Health Sciences may take longer than four years to reach graduation at Indiana University Bloomington.
Academic, Residential and Disciplinary Standards
- Students have four academic terms to complete the Hoosier Link program: Fall 2009, Spring 2010, Summer 2010 and Fall 2010. Once students meet benchmark #2, they must enroll at Indiana University Bloomington.
- Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.25, and earn individual grades of "C" or above in nine or more credit hours each semester.
- Students must maintain a good disciplinary record.
- Students must live in the Hoosier Link Learning Community during their first year of the program.
Probation/Dismissal
- Students who do not meet the academic and disciplinary standards will be placed on probation for one semester.
- Students who do not meet program benchmarks after the probationary semester will be dismissed from the program.
- Students who do not meet the first-year residential living requirement will be dismissed from the program.
- The Hoosier Link guaranteed transfer is not applicable to students dismissed from the program for any reason.
